Leading Dental Researcher Speaks out Against Water Fluoridation

Dr Hardy Limeback, former President of the Canadian Association of Dental Research and current Head of Preventive Dentistry at the University of Toronto, is now calling for the end of water fluoridation. Limeback, a former proponent of fluoridation changed his mind in the wake of new studies showing little benefit to teeth from ingesting fluoride, and a growing body of research indicating links between fluoride and adverse effects including hip fracture, cancer and arthritis.
The research Dr. Limeback has conducted is truly inspiring. I feel privileged to have watched this interview, I hope to have the opportunity to meet Dr. Limeback at the University of Toronto and personally congratulate him for being an amazing pioneer in the truth about water fluoridation. As a Dental Assisting student, it is comforting knowing that there are top level Dental Professionals who are campaigning against the injustice of water fluoridation, contrary to the American textbooks used at my Ontario school that insist it is the responsibility of the DA to promote the [lack of] safety of water fluoridation. It's about time to write some new textbooks - with current, Canadian information! Bravo, Dr. Limeback :)
